Arisamale beach is not very famous and that is why it has kept its beauty undisturbed. It’s situated 3kms from Pulmoddi.
The beach almost look like a large basin of water which is s surrounded by sand rocks from two corners. beach is ideal to have a bath as the sea tides are not strong .The bottom could be seen very clear with the shallow water.
In Tamil, meaning of Arisi is rise and malei is mountain. The legend says that two traders Thapassu Bhalluka left their pile of rice on this beach and it was turned in to sand later on. People believe that’s why the sand looks like rice and round like it. When we walk on the sand it gives us a feeling like walking on pile of rice as its size and shape also similar to rice.
